Walkers Beef and Onion Crisps, 25 g, Pack of 6
About this deal
Despite some production issues affecting certain flavours, Walkers remains one of the most popular snack food manufacturers in the UK and Ireland. It’s great to see that while more modern snacks such as Pringles and Doritos are popular, we clearly still love many of our childhood favourites. In February 2021, Walkers announced the launch of Monster Munch Giants, which are larger versions of the main product, similar to Wotsits Giants from the year prior. Novelty flavours have included Salt and Lineker – named as a nod to Gary Lineker - and Vardy Salted to celebrate the goal-scoring exploits of Foxes and England striker Jamie Vardy.
The success of the campaign exceeded all expectations, with Walkers’ Marketing Director Rachel Holmes commenting on the incredible passion of crisp fans who voted thousands of times for their preferred flavour. The campaign was a huge success, exceeding all expectations and generating widespread media coverage.Walkers recently sent the country into a frenzy with the relaunch of its prawn cocktail flavoured Wotsits but, sadly, other crisp variations have failed to stand the test of time. Additionally, Walkers has run several successful marketing campaigns over the years, including their “Do Us a Flavour” campaign which challenged the British public to come up with unique flavours for their crisps.
The survey of 2,000 adults by pollsters Perspectus Global put kiddies’ favourites Wotsits, Quavers and Nik Naks in the top 20 along with more grown up nibbles such as Scampi Fries and Doritos.
