This printed edition contains around 400 (I'm not sure, I haven't counted) entries from the I Wrote This For You project, including many from the first book, many entries that were written after the first book was published, and several things I wrote while I was away that only appear here in this book. I collaborated with electronic music/technologist BT on the album cover design for "If The Stars Are Eternal, So Are You And I" and the title of his last album, "A Song Across The Wires" is taken from a poem I wrote. I wanted something short enough that I could read it within a few hours, yet something that gave me something to chew. I Wrote This For You is wonderful because it can speak to so many people at so many different levels. I Wrote This For You is a collection of photographs (by Jon Ellis) and quotes/poems/aphorisms/observations.

Started in 2007, I Wrote This For You is an internationally acclaimed exploration of hauntingly beautiful words, photography and emotion that's unique to each person that reads it. But if they don't stop, if they continue on and on by saying: "You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen. A subway is suddenly loneliness, the trees become love, the ocean is kindness and your mind is the creator of the story. Thomas, who together with photographer Jon Ellis, created the worldwide smash success I Wrote This For You, a collection of personal, anonymous poetry and photography. There is one particular part of the book that makes me teary because the photo and the message really hit me.If the prose is read by itself (how it is presented in Just The Words), one might feel romantic love. The kindle version is the next best thing and still enjoyable, but I really think you miss out on experiencing the images as they should be viewed. Several of the poems that are remarkable for me is The Nature of my Body, The Video on the Way Down, The Trees That Decided Not To Die, and The World Needs More Lighthouses.

The photographs, the chapter titles, and the entries themselves all work together beautifully to really tug at your heart strings. After darkness, there is always light and you get reminded of this every morning but still you choose to believe that the night will last forever. This book gathers together nearly 200 of the most beautiful entries into four distinct chapters; Sun, Moon, Stars, Rain. The titles prime the reader for the tone of the prose, but each photograph and title challenge associations with the prose.I finished this completely unaffected and glad it was over, but there were still some nice quotes sprinkled in. But sometimes, there are little things that end up brightening your day, even if its by the smallest of degrees. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.

When we are on the other side, I believe things will at some point, have to become simpler because everything tends towards simplicity over time, or at least that’s what I tell myself. I highlighted a few lines here and there, but it nothing that made me think too hard or sit back and go "whoa.Add the mysterious and daunting photos, this book is written for you and only you by someone who dares to show how much you matter in this world and reminds you that there is someone who cares and life has meaning.
