Apparently Bush's aim was for each episode of Bluey has its own individual musical finger print, and listening to this delightful collection of soundtrack extracts from the first series of the show, yeah, he's pretty much nailed it, which when you consider that each series has over 50 episodes, is no small achievement. The new album ‘Dance Mode’ features music from the show, with it’s upbeat EDM inspired title track ‘Dance Mode’, through to ‘The BeeeeeOOP Walk’, ‘Rain (Boldy In The Pretend)’ and ‘Cat Squad’. Yes its music from the tv show, and its recognizable and a good beat, but I was expecting some songs. Presented on CD in a foiled sleeve, with artwork connecting together with ‘Bluey – The Album’ to form a larger image. While the music can be excellent, track-by-track sequencing is sometimes overlooked, resulting in a mediocre to subpar experience. Joff Bush said: “Bluey is an incredible world created from Joe Brumm’s stories, and to help bring the musical part of that to life has always been thrilling. The extended cut being the tracklist's centerpiece is no accident; it splits the album perfectly between the more upbeat, endearingly nonsensical jams that precede it and the harrowing tear-jerkers that follow.
