I'm a BIG fan of the original Game of Thrones series, well, let's be honest, up to about season 5, maybe, leaning into season 6. Once a healthy boy entered the picture, plans were afoot to make sure she would never sit on the Iron Throne.

With the first season now collected on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray and a ton of bonus features included, fans have even more reason to dive back into Westeros as we begin the long wait for season two. After all, there were rumors of deleted scenes, more insight into characters, and a journey back into Westeros which I would be all too eager to consume before waiting another two years for Season 2 to premiere. The screech of Rhaenyra’s dragon Syrax in Episode 2 at 35 minutes has a cool effect that moves quickly through several channels, and when it flies overhead activates rear and overhead speakers. I've heard some people on streaming services turning off Dolby Vision and HDR10 so they can watch it in SDR.With a native 4K source gleamed from cinema-grade LF cameras and what will likely be cinema-grade Dolby Atmos audio, it should be reference-grade demo material in the war scenes. Fortunately, House of the Dragon exceeded expectations with a very strong first season that focused on its characters and the changing dynamics between them as the game of thrones is played within the Targaryen dynasty. Each element adds to how immersive the series is and give it its own look and feel separate to Game of Thrones. Looking at the description, you might be tempted to say that the complete first season boasts an impressive amount of special features — which is the main draw of physical media like this. When she's not behind the keyboard typing away, she is travelling around the world, doing some yoga by the beach, weight lifting, and/or playing video games.

Rhaenyra all the more amazing, something that D'Arcy may be the beneficiary of once D'Arcy assumes the role. With that said, they have taken great care to light rooms as well as they can, so people are still visible.

Show spoiler] they’ve already stated this series will have many time jumps, including in the 6th episode of this season with a significant time leap forward and older versions/recastings of some major characters like Princess Rhaenyra and Alicent…so who knows how far they can take this show as it goes along, I’m sure if it remains successful they’ll try and keep it going, hopefully not run it into the ground though…. Unfortunately, there are no deleted scenes anywhere on these discs, and neither are the “Next Episode” trailers or “Inside the Episode” minidocs after each episode on HBO and HBO Max. Most of the video is reference-quality 4k, although there are scenes when low light renders a flat and grainy image (visible also in digital formats). Although only 1080p and not 4k the image looked stunning watched on a 55" OLED TV through a 4k BR player. I've been watching digital video for a long, long time now and I've really never seen daytime scenes be under bit rate.
