Along with her friends and family, blue heeler Bluey enjoys exploring the world and using her imagination to turn everyday life into an amazing adventure. The latest in the series, Bluey: The Creek, debuted at No3 on the Australian bestseller lists just last week. Ideally, your votes should be equally distributed within the 5 rating levels, proportionally making up your top 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80% of favourite episodes. Each page should feel as sudden assault to the readers sensors with how bright the colours used are, and how they are contrasted against the textured patterns of some of the backgrounds (think lines, swirls, patterns etc), and yet, it somehow just effortlessly works so well together.

Having experienced what it’s like to be on your own for the first time, Bluey reunites with Mum and they listen to the shell, before walking back down the beach together. Bluey politely asks the cheeky pelican to move, but he stubbornly refuses, making her think she’ll have to turn around. The Bluey books line has been a sales machine for PRH, with books from the series being the second-, third- and fourth-biggest selling children’s books in Australia in 2019. Our team is made up of book lovers who are dedicated to sourcing and providing the best books for kids. We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child. As Mr Pelican flies off giving us a beautiful vista of a typical quiet, Aussie beach, Bluey catches sight of Mum, and they run to meet up. What child doesn’t love a story involving cute puppies and for even more fun it’s a 'Lift The Flap' book! Yet perhaps, they are picking up on the complex mystery behind a love for the simple things - like walking by yourself along the shore. The story is typical Bluey stuff - on one level it's a gentle narrative about discovering things on the beach, but the deeper level is about learning to enjoy your own company.

This review was originally posted at The Never Ending Bookshelf on the 4th April 2020 and can be found here: https://wp. However, she luckily spies Mums footsteps re-emerge in the sand and gives herself a big-mermaid-girl pep talk to creep around the scary pelican!

The Abias are hosted by the Australian Publishers Association and judged by an academy of more than 250 publishing industry figures. She pretends to be a mermaid and she fights off tiny crabs, a bird, and fights the water that's coming up to catch her. Bluey then finds a shell she likes and decides to catch up with mum but there are a few obstacles along the way. Along the way, mermaid-with-legs Bluey encounters many things that both challenge and delight her: a surfing champion (voiced by surfing legend Layne Beachley), a flock of seagulls, a big wave that covers Mums footsteps, a weeing pippy, a soldier crab (followed by a herd of soldier crabs), a scary jellyfish and a washed out sand castle that she decides must be a mermaid house. While widely popular, I was still surprised to find this element in the book, but loved the surprise none-the-less.
